Low Levels of Estrogen

Hormonal imbalances can leave many women struggling to cope with the unpleasant signs and symptoms of menopause. When a woman’s progesterone and estrogen hormone levels naturally decrease due to menopause, there are a number of different side effects. For example, hot flashes, night sweats and depression can all occur. This article is going to focus on the effects of women experiencing low levels of estrogen hormones.

What Are Estrogen?

Estrogen hormones are secreted by the ovaries.Estrogen hormones are secreted by different glands in the body, such as the ovaries.  Throughout the body, estrogen hormones are chemical messengers that circulate the various systems regulating the functioning of different organs.  Estrogen hormones are especially important during menstruation.

What Are Low Levels of Estrogen?

It is important that women maintain normal levels of estrogen in order for their body to keep in balance. Consequently, it is important that women are familiar with normal and low levels of estrogen hormones so that they can keep them balanced.

  • 130

Low levels of estrogen occur when women’s estrogen levels drop below these numbers.

Why Do Low Levels of Estrogen Occur?

Women may experience low levels of estrogen for a number of different reasons. The causes of low levels of estrogen hormones can be either natural or induced. For example:

An unhealthy diet

Eat a healthy diet to avoid estrogen imbalance.

As mentioned previously, the body needs to be healthy in order to run efficiently. It is important that women not only perform regular exercise, but they should also eat a healthy diet that is filled with plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grain fibers. This helps women to avoid having an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone hormone levels.

Lack of exercise

Unfortunately, low levels of estrogen hormones can be caused by not exercising regularly. The body needs to be healthy in order for hormone levels to be maintained. It is important that women exercise at least five times a week for a half an hour at a time in order to be healthy and avoid low levels of estrogen.

Menopause

During menopause, many women experience low levels of estrogens. This is because they are coming to the end of the reproductive stage of life and their body is no longer producing the same quantity of estrogen and progesterone hormones. The low levels of estrogen that women have due to menopause usually cause women to experience symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats.

Hysterectomy

The ovaries are one of the main producers of estrogen hormones in the body. If women have a hysterectomy, they may easily and abruptly experience low levels of estrogen hormones. However, these levels of estrogen hormones can be boosted by having a healthy lifestyle and using natural supplements.
